Sta-Tite™ Locking-Thread Bolt & Self-Tensioning Nut is the alternative to swage and break-off fastening systems
Fleet operators and vehicle OEMs were asked what they most wanted a frame-fastening system to do. The answer was unanimous, “Stay tight, and be easy to remove without special tools.” Taking that as a directive, MacLean-Fogg developed, tested and introduced the Sta-Tite™ Fastening System for commercial vehicle applications.
The Sta-Tite™ fastening system employs our Improved Lock Thread™ bolt coupled with our Step-Lok self-tensioning nut. The results are clamping forces and clamp retention comparable to or better than those associated with traditional “swage and break-off” systems that are currently used by some OEMs and Tier builders.
