MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions Acquires Automotive Division of Curtis Screw Company LLC

Mundelein, Illinois November 3, 2014 — MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions announces its purchase of the Automotive Division of Curtis Screw Company LLC.  Included in this acquisition are the manufacturing sites in Buffalo, New York and Cornelius, North Carolina.  The newly formed division of MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions will be known as MacLean Curtis LLC.

Through this acquisition, MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions will expand its business and product range in precision-machined components.  “This transaction enables us to further diversify our customer base,” stated Duncan MacLean, President of MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions, “and provides an ideal opportunity for us to better support our current clients with an expanded portfolio of high quality products and services.”

Curtis Screw Company LLC, in operation since 1905, has been an industry trusted, precision component manufacturer with 2013 sales of over $65.5 million.  The Automotive Division acquisition includes proven manufacturing capabilities:  CNC and CAM multi-spindle screw machining, Hydromat rotary transfer machining and CNC machining.  Curtis’ automotive product lines include transmission gear blanks and parking components, steering and HVAC hydraulic connectors, engine timing parts, automotive safety components and other critical machined parts for automotive, heavy truck, and other industries.
