MFCS Continues the Journey: EHS

Beginning in 2015, the MFCS Safety Steering Team changed its name to the Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Steering Team. This name change provides a better description of what the team focus will be as MFCS moves into 2015 and beyond. The team also established objectives for 2015, and looks forward to a successful and exciting year!


University of Wisconsin - Madison Wins MacLean-Fogg Cup!

MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions (MFCS) congratulates University of Wisconsin-Madison for winning the internal combustion division of the 2015 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Clean Snowmobile Challenge (CSC) held March 2-7, 2015 at Michigan Tech University's Keweenaw Research Center.


MFCS Acquires Curtis Screw Company LLC

MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions announces its purchase of the Automotive Division of Curtis Screw Company LLC. Included in this acquisition are the manufacturing sites in Buffalo, New York and Cornelius, North Carolina. MFCS to Sponsor 2015 Formula SAE

MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions (MFCS) is excited to announce its Silver sponsorship of the 2015 Michigan Formula SAE® Collegiate Design Competition. As part of our partnership, we are introducing the “MacLean-Fogg Fastening Challenge”. This is a new contest-within-the-contest where teams will have the opportunity to submit the details of a fastening challenge they incurred during their vehicle development.

Experience MFCS at International Auto Show

As the 2014 North American International Auto Show kicks off in full swing this week, we wanted to point out that although we may not have an exhibiting booth at the show, our products are certainly on full display. MFCS Announces Expanded Machining Capabilities

MFCS announced an investment in new machining equipment which expands the Fastener Components division's manufacturing capabilities in Mundelein, IL. Mr. Duncan MacLean, President of MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions, stated, “Our commitment to providing value-added, engineered, customer-focused solutions that leverage our material forming expertise and operational excellence is further demonstrated by our recent investments in state-of-the-art CNC and multi-spindle screw machines."

F-150 Artwork Displayed at Ford Rouge Factory

When Barry MacLean, a member of the Board of Governors for the School at the Art Institute of Chicago, visited the 2012 Student Exhibition, he found one piece to be particularly striking. Annalee Levin, the artist, sought to create a piece that updated traditional American Arts and Crafts with a theme representing modern America. The result, was a hand-embroidered needlepoint pillow. Not just any ordinary pillow, but a full scale Ford F-150 pick-up truck front end rendered in needlepoint.

Innovation at EPC with Automotive Hood Levelers

When one of our key customers recently requested involvement for an under-hood beautification initiative, Engineered Plastics Company (EPC) was asked to respond with costs and timing for re-designing and re-tooling our current rubber hood levelers. These parts would be integral to the significant 2013 launch of this customer’s 2014 full size pickup trucks. Innovation kicked in and EPC was able to develop a better performing, more cost effective solution.

Turning on the Heat at MFCS Saegertown

Taking on a challenge to install a new heat treat furnace can be a demanding project for any experienced heat-treater, much less a plant that has never had an in-house heat treat furnace before. But all the monumental hurdles that may make a company reconsider such a venture were considered minor stepping stones to the team at MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions Saegertown.
