MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions announces a major expansion at our decorative wheel fastener division in Royal Oak, MI. The facility expansion will add more than 20,000 square feet of space to accommodate growth of our decorative stainless steel capped wheel nut and wheel bolt business. As reported in the local news, division General Manager Al Fabian stated “Demand over the years has increased so much, we have spent the last 15 months working on strategies to support the growth. Fabian went on to say our “best solution is to remain (in Royal Oak) and expand to the maximum we can.” Within two years of completion, about 20 new jobs will be created to support the growth.
The Royal Oak division’s Decorex decorative wheel fasteners feature several proprietary technologies. These technologies yield a stainless steel capped wheel fastener that provides industry-leading cap durability and a modern stylish look without chrome. Thus, the Decorex fasteners avoid the rust, chrome delamination and environmental concerns of competing products. There are Decorex design options available for attaching aluminum wheels without the need for a steel insert, for retaining decorative wheel trim, and for wheel bolts application. High performance designs that feature a captive floating washer are also available. It is these features as well as Royal Oak plant quality fueling the product’s and division’s growth. The growth in product demand is coming primarily from North America, Japan, China and Korea.
