That is what fuels MacLean Curtis (Buffalo, NY) in their partnership with Dr. Antonia Pantoja Community School of Academic Excellence (also known as School 18).


Summer Intern Contributes to Continuous Improvement at Saegertown

At the conclusion of his summer internship, the engineering intern at MFCS Saegertown presented an overview of the vast list of projects in which he was involved. One project of interest was backing up and organizing over 600 PLC programs used at Saegertown. His goal was to create functionality through order, and make a central location where users can easily find what they are looking for. He did what he set out to do, and trained the users on the system.


EPC a finalist for SPE Innovation Award

The Engineered Plastics Division of MFCS was recently honored when a component we designed and manufactured was nominated by the Society of Plastics Engineers for a 2015 Automotive Innovation Award in the Safety Category. Specifically the nomination was for a flexible sensor bracket sonically welded directly to the fascia skin in a 2015 model year new performance car. The awards ceremony was held November 11th in Detroit Michigan.


MacLean Curtis – Buffalo Hosts a Community Baby Shower

They say that the best way to a person’s heart is through their stomach. With that in mind, MacLean Curtis hosted its Second Annual United Way Community Baby Shower Bake Sale for a week in May 2015. Donations received were used to purchase essential baby items for the United Way to distribute to newborn babies most in need.


Lean Basic PDCA Project Process

An MFCS Metform team defined a safety concern driven by transportation and motion associated with movement of parts and, as a risk of lift truck/pedestrian accidents due to the high volume of lift truck traffic involved with moving parts long distances.


Scheduling Kaizen at MacLean ESNA

The week of May 11, 2015, MacLean- ESNA conducted a week long Kaizen on improving on-time delivery. The event focused on scheduling and ensuring that shop orders start on-time. The team spent many hours working through and understanding the scheduling process.

After receiving Nadcap accreditations for Nondestruction Testing and Chemical Processing, MacLean ESNA has now received their third Nadcap accreditation for Materials Testing.


MacLean-Fogg Passes Presidential Torch to the Next Generation

Barry L. MacLean, chief executive officer and chairman of MacLean-Fogg, announced the appointment of Duncan A. L. MacLean to president of MacLean-Fogg effective August 15, 2015. Duncan MacLean will remain president of MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions and, on October 15, 2015, will assume the role of president of MacLean Power Systems.

MacLean ESNA Receives Nadcap Accreditation for NDT (Non-Destructive Testing)

MacLean ESNA received Nadcap accreditation for demonstrating their ongoing commitment to quality by satisfying aerospace and defense customer requirements and industry specifications.
